National Theatre of Greece - Shop "Flightcase"

National Theatre of Greece - Shop

For the summer tours at Epidaurus, the National Theatre came to us with a challenge: Create a versatile and smart concept for the Theatre's shop, that will be selling theatre-inspired souvenirs, merchandise and printed material and can be easily packed, transferred and reinstalled to the different locations that the plays are travelling to.

Our proposal was inspired by an iconic theatre object: the flightcase. The flightcase, made of cheap, durable material and marked with stencil signage is normally used to pack and transfer theatrical equipment, props and parts of the set. In our case, it was the starting point for the aesthetics and design of the shop that ticked all the boxes of the brief along the way. The flightcase shop followed the National Theatre everywhere and was also placed at the lobby of the Rex theatre on Panepistimiou Street!
